Health and Social Care Learning Disabilities Strategy

Overview

It is time to rewrite our Learning Disabilities Strategy, our previous one was only until 2013,  and there have been a lot of changes that we need to take into consideration, such as the Care Act 2014 , so with this in mind we are looking for your opinions and views as to what we should include in our new strategy which will be for  2015 - 2019

Why your views matter

We not only have a legal duty to consult on the strategies that we write we also know that in order to get things right we need to listen to the real experts and that's you, the users, the parents, the carers, the workers, the general public.

We want this Health and Social Care Learning Disabilities Strategy to be a joint venture, so this is why we are carrying out various engagement activities so that more people can tell us what they think is important and what we should include in the strategy.

We are also happy to come out and meet with any groups that would like to get involved or that would prefer to talk about the strategy rather than completing the online questions.

What happens next

The Draft strategy will be written taking everyones views into consideration.

This will then be available for consultation from February 2015

The final strategy is due to be signed off by the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board April 2015
