We asked for your views on the proposal to create a new processional route from the Victoria Park Lodges on London Road down to the War Memorial.
120 separate responses were received. The majority of respondents agreed with the proposal and felt that restoration of the view to the War Memorial was important. You were also generally in favour of the suggested improvements to the existing car parks, the existing park gates and to lighting in the area, as well as the provision of toilet facilities.
The comments received from the public consultation have been analysed by the project design team and, where feasible, will be integrated into the final design proposals.
