This is a consultation On Leicester City Council's proposed Draft Tenancy Strategy and Draft Tenancy Policy

Why your views matter

We are consulting because we are in the process of developing our Tenancy Strategy and Tenancy Policy (see the attached pdfs below).

The Tenancy Strategy identifies the Council’s objectives which registered providers operating within Leicester should have regard to when developing their tenancy policies.  This document also provides local guidance on the use of affordable rent tenancies. 

The Tenancy Policy sets out how the Council will manage tenancies, including how we will help tenants to maintain their tenancies, prevent evictions and tackle tenancy fraud.

We welcome the views and comments of Council tenants, tenant and resident groups, Housing Associations working within Leicester and other interested stakeholders on the Strategy.

One of the ways in which we are seeking people's views is through the on-line questionnaire below. The first section of this questionnaire will ask your views on the Draft Tenancy Strategy and the second part will ask for your views on the Draft Tenancy Policy.
