We asked for your views on the proposed 20mph zone in Onyx Crescent.
You said
We had 6 responses to the e-consultation. Five were in favour of the 20mph speed limit and one was against. A paper consultation was also delivered directly to local residents. We had 27 responses representing a 19% response rate. Of these responses, 24 (89%) were in favour of the 20mph speed limit.
We did
As a result of the support for the proposal, the City Mayor has approved implementation of the scheme which is scheduled to come into force in late July 2015.
Overview
Leicester City Council is proposing to change the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on Onyx Crescent.
Bovis Homes is funding the proposed scheme and there is no cost to Leicester City Council.
Why your views matter
The Transport Strategy Section is now consulting residents and other interested parties for their views on the proposed changes. This consultation will be the basis on which the City Mayor will make his decision on whether to implement the scheme or not.
