As a result of the public support, the City Mayor has approved implementation of the scheme which is scheduled to come into force in autumn 2015.
Overview
Leicester City Council is proposing to change the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph on streets in Quakesick Valley. In addition, it is proposed to construct a road hump on Bellflower Road adjacent to Jasmine Close to constrain vehicular speeds.
The developer is funding the proposed scheme and there is no cost to Leicester City Council.
Why your views matter
The Transport Strategy Section is now consulting residents and other interested parties for their views on the proposed changes. This consultation will be the basis on which the City Mayor will make his decision on whether to implement the scheme or not.
