We asked for your views on the proposal to install seven central islands on Shanklin Drive.
You said
306 properties were consulted on Shanklin Drive and the surrounding streets. We had 157 responses to this representing a 51% response rate.
Of these responses 115 (73%) were in support of the central islands, 36 (23%) were against, and six (4%) were unsure.

As a result it was decided to proceed and install the central islands.
Overview
Leicester City Council is proposing to install up to seven central islands in Shanklin Drive to visually and physically narrow the road and reduce the speed of vehicles.
Why your views matter
Leicester City Council is consulting to obtain the views of residents.
What happens next
The results will be analysed and presented in a report which will make recommendations about whether and if so how the scheme will proceed.
