What the public thought about spitting in the streets and whether or not the City Council should issue £80 fines to anyone caught spitting.

You said

A total of 1192 responses were received. 96.3% are concerned about spitting in the street. 95.9% think people should be fined. .

We did

We have received an overwhelming response in support of dealing with spitting. We have taken into account the 592 comments and the decision has been made that we will be taking enforcement action for deliberately spitting on the pavements from 1st February 2014 by issuing £80 on the spot fines.
