We did
We have received an overwhelming response in support of dealing with spitting. We have taken into account the 592 comments and the decision has been made that we will be taking enforcement action for deliberately spitting on the pavements from 1st February 2014 by issuing £80 on the spot fines.
Overview
Recent Case Law has shown that Local Authorities can deal with spitting as a littering offence and issue an £80 fine.
