Woodburning survey

Overview

This survey looks at the use of residential woodburning stoves and open fires in Leicester, and includes questions about the equipment being used and its purpose, the type of fuel(s) burnt, and whether the use of equipment and fuel has changed over the past 12 months.

Other questions relate to the recent ‘Think Before You Burn’ awareness campaign, which focused on the health and environmental impacts of particulate pollution from woodburning.

At present there is only limited data available on woodburning stove and open fire use in Leicester. This survey will help us gain a better understanding of fine particulate emissions across the city.
