Leicester’s adult social care workforce strategy consultation - 2024
Overview
We want to hear your views on our draft adult social care workforce strategy. This strategy is for the external workforce (not social care staff employed by Leicester City Council) who provide support for adults aged 18 and above.
They could be employed by agencies or organisations who may or may not have a contract with the city council or be self-employed as a personal assistant or carer. This applies across all care settings, whether in a care home, a supported living setting, a day service or in a person's own home.
Supporting the adult social care workforce is a priority for Leicester City Council. We want to ensure that we have a workforce that is valued, and which is competent and confident and available in sufficient numbers to be there for people who need support and care.
Why your views matter
Please read the strategy (link below) before completing the questionnaire, which should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
We have described our planned actions for each of our priorities and we want to know your views on these. Your feedback will be used to develop our detailed action plans which will support this strategy.
When the consultation closes, we will update the strategy taking into account your views.
