Women Talking, City Listening

Closed 5 Jul 2020

Opened 15 May 2020

Overview

This project concentrates on having meaningful conversation with women, to better understand the issues they face today.

Funded by central government, the Women Talking, City Listening project will collect the voices of women across the city until the end of June. We will then report directly to the city mayor and the government, informing them of the ways in which women can be better supported, as emphasised by you.

They can these use this information to implement policy change and changes to initiatives, it is hoped both locally, here in Leicester and nationally.

We are keen to hear from as many women across Leicester as possible. If you would like to speak to us over the phone, please email or call 0116 454 4178 and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to have a discussion.

Why your views matter

We want to know the barriers and challenges that women in Leicester face, whether this be related to finding employment, access to education, finances, mental health, safety, childcare or other areas important to you

If you identify as female and are over the age of 18, we encourage you to take part in our consultation and share your voice. Your views will help us take forward effective recommendations as to how women can be better supported, to share with the city mayor and central government, alongside any other relevant bodies.
