Apply for Early Years Capital Funding

Overview

The Department for Education (DfE) has provided Childcare expansion capital grant funding and has allocated £557,968.05 to Leicester City Council to support the provision of new early years and wraparound childcare places and ensure that all new places created should be accessible to all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

A second round of funding opportunity is now open for new application.  

Please ensure that you have read the Early Years Childcare Expansion Capital Grant Application Guidance and planned your application responses before proceeding with this form.  

Deadline for new applications is Tuesday 31 March 2026, or earlier if resources are fully committed.
