We asked

for views on proposals to close Braunstone Frith Junior School and expand the age range of Braunstone Frith Infant School.

You said

90% of those responding to the consultation agreed with proposals. In addition, 79% of Infant School pupils and 84% of Junior School pupils were in favour of the changes.

We did

proposed to proceed to the next stage of the process; publication of a statutory notice followed by a six week period for statutory representations.

Overview

Leicester City Council is consulting on a proposal to reorganise Braunstone Frith Infant and Junior Schools.

What happens next

All responses to the consultation will be presented to the City Council Executive to enable a decision on the way forward to be taken.

 

If it is decided to proceed with the proposal, then a statutory notice will be published to seek formal representations.

 

At the end of this period, the City Council Executive will determine whether to implement the proposal to take effect in September 2013.
