No representations were received during the six week Statutory Representation period.
Following this representation period, a report was presented to the Children, Young People and Schools Scrutiny Commission, which gave their support to the proposal.
The Executive Decision Report was considered by the Assistant City Mayor - Children, Young People and Schools, and a decision was taken to approve the proposals.

The council has consulted on proposed changes to St Mary's Fields Infant School The consultation opened on 4th November 2013 and closed on 15th December 2013.
Following the outcomes of the consultation, it is proposed to proceed to the next stage which requires the publication of a statutory notice, followed by a six week statutory representations period.

Changes to St Mary's Fields Infant School
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that Leicester City Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to St Mary's Fields Infant School (Community) Heyworth Road Leicester LE3 2DA from 1 September 2014.
It is proposed to change the age range of St Mary's Fields Infant School, from its current age range of 3 through to 7, to an age range of 3 through to 11 to become an 'all-through' primary school from 1 September 2014.
It is also proposed to enlarge the capacity of the school. The current capacity of the school is 236 and the proposed capacity will be 420. The current number of pupils registered at the school is 230. The current admission number for the school is 60 and the proposed admission number will be 60.
All pupils on roll of the Infant School on 31st August 2014 will transfer to the roll of the new 'all-through' primary school.
All pupils entering Reception Year in September 2014 (aged four on 31st August 2014), and each year after, will be entering a primary school and will stay on roll until transition to secondary school.
Some additional building will be required on the adjacent playing field. This will be phased in agreement with the school, and be subject to the normal planning permission process.

- The current Year 2 cohort will become the Year 3 cohort in September 2014, with each subsequent year following through.
- The current ‘temporary’ Year 3 cohort will become the ‘permanent’ Year 4 cohort in September 2014, with each subsequent year following through.
