Have your say on our Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Leicester

Closes 17 Sep 2025

Opened 20 Aug 2025

Overview

We are currently developing a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Leicester. This plan sets out our long-term vision and priorities for improving walking, wheeling and cycling routes across the city, with the aim of creating a safer, more connected, and more accessible network for everyone.

Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIPs), as set out in the Government’s Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy, provide a strategic approach to identifying the cycling and walking improvements required at the local level. They enable a long-term approach to developing local cycling and walking infrastructure.

Below are our proposed walking and cycling indentified in our LCWIP.
