Leicester's Climate Assembly application form

Closed 31 Dec 2019

Opened 11 Dec 2019

Overview

Leicester City Council declared a climate emergency in February 2019, along with many other councils across the UK. Since then, we have developed proposals for how we think Leicester will need to change to become carbon neutral..

We will be holding a Climate Assembly in Leicester city centre on Saturday 18 January 2020 to enable residents to have their say on the proposals.

We are currently seeking to recruit 50-70 local people who would like to be a part of the Climate Assembly. One of our core aims is to ensure that people of different ethnic origins, economic status, religions, ages, abilities and geographic areas are represented at the Assembly.

A £20 voucher, free transport and childcare costs will be available to all who are selected to attend.

The first stage of the process is to submit an application form (see link below). The deadline for applications is midnight Tuesday 31 December 2019.

A formal randomisation process will select a representative sample of applications for the Assembly. All applicants will be informed of whether or not they have been selected by Thursday 9 January 2020.
