We asked

We consulted the public to seek their views and opinions concerning the final version of a new Health and Social Care Learning Disability strategy 2015 – 2019.

You said

Your views and opinions have helped inform the development of the new strategy

We did

We have developed the strategy and included all the feedback you have given us over the last year. This strategy will now be implemented in 2016.

Overview

Further to our Learning Disabilities Strategy workshop and engagement in 2014, we have listened to your views and made a lot of changes to the original draft strategy.

We would now like to hear your views and comments on what we have included in the new five year strategy.

Why your views matter

We not only have a legal duty to consult on the strategies such as this, we also know that in order to get things right we need to listen to the real experts - service users, parents, carers, workers and the general public.

We are happy to come out and meet with any groups that would like to get involved or that would prefer to talk about the strategy rather than completing the online questionnaire.

If you would like someone to come out to your group please email jane.forte@leicester.gov.uk

The online questionnaire is available - simply click the Online Survey link below

What happens next

The draft strategy will be finalised taking everyone's views into consideration.

The final strategy is due to be signed off by the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board in January 2016.

The strategy will then be publicly available in early 2016.
